What is the renewal status of Dorohedoro Season 2? When will it be made available?
There are several modern shounen/seinen anime that is actually good, even to the point that they might easily exceed the ones at the top, but they don’t receive as much attention in the community. One of such anime series, called Dorohedoro, can serve as an illustration. Due to the show’s originality, many viewers enjoyed it to their heart’s content.
Japanese manga created and illustrated by Q Hayashida served as the basis for Dorohedoro’s first iteration. Since November 30, 2000, it has been serialized in Spirits Zkan Ikki, a seinen manga publication by Shogakukan. The manga was relocated to Hibana as a substitute on March 6, 2015, when Monthly Ikki discontinued publication on September 25, 2014.
Hibana also stopped publishing in 2017, which resulted in the relocation of Dorohedoro to Shogakukan’s shonen manga publication Monthly Shonen Sunday on November 10 of the same year. After 18 years of publishing, the manga was eventually finished on September 12, 2018, with the 167th chapter being its last release.
Dorohedoro Season 2 Renewal Status
The December 2018 issue of Shogakukan’s Monthly Shonen Sunday magazine, which was published on November 12, 2018, confirmed an anime adaptation of Hayashida’s well-known manga series Dorehedoro. The studio that needs no introduction, MAPPA, animated the adaptation. They are well-known for their success in the release of numerous anime titles, including Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and Kakegurui.
The first episode of the anime series Dorohedoro aired on January 13, 2020, and the show ran for a total of twelve episodes until wrapping up on March 30 of the same year. Many of the series’ devoted followers are begging for a second season after the first one ended. So, what is the renewal status of the anime series Dorohedoro? Is there any information regarding a sequel?
As of right present, neither the author nor the studio has commented on Dorohedoro Season 2. We don’t know if the season will be renewed or not, but fortunately, it hasn’t been canceled either, so there’s a chance it’ll come back.
Dorohedoro Season 2: Is it feasible?
We still don’t know when Dorohedoro Season 2 will premiere because there isn’t any new information. Nonetheless, a lot of viewers are curious as to whether Dorohedoro will get a second season.
As of this writing, Dorohedoro’s second season has not been confirmed. Yuichiro Hayashi, the show’s director, is quoted as saying that whether or not Dorohedoro gets renewed will have no bearing on how well season one performs.
The production committees are quite busy right now because there are so many anime scheduled for the following seasons, including Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 and Demon Slayer Season 3. This is why MAPPA hasn’t made any announcements yet.
MAPPA would have more than enough source material to create a season renewal. Only the first 39 of the manga’s 190 chapters have been covered in the first season. With the available material, they could easily produce two or more seasons.
In conclusion, Dorohedoro Season 2 is undoubtedly a possibility, but it probably won’t happen anytime soon. It’s only a question of time once more. If they somewhat announce anything regarding a sequel, we will surely let you guys know!

Hole—a dark, decrepit, and disorderly district where the strong prey on the weak and death is an ordinary occurrence—is all but befitting of the name given to it. Possessing free access to and from the cesspool, and with little challenge to their authority, the magic users appear indomitable to most—aside for a few. Kaiman, more reptile than man, is one such individual. He hunts them on a heedless quest for answers with only a trusted pair of bayonets and his immunity to magic. Cursed by his appearance and tormented by nightmares, magic users are his only clue to restoring his life to normal. With his biggest obstacle being his stomach, his female companion Nikaidou, who runs the restaurant Hungry Bug, is his greatest ally.
Set in a gritty world of hellish design, Dorohedoro manages a healthy blend of comedy and lightheartedness with death and carnage. Taking plenty of twists and turns while following the lives of Hole’s residents, it weaves a unique world of unearthly origin and dreary appearance not for the squeamish or easily disturbed.
